Christmastime....

Well I decided I was not going another day without writing on the blog. It has been too long and there has been so much to write about yet I have been too be to do so! So, I will not even begin to try to go back the last how ever long it has been and record everything!

Sam and I have both been too busy to barley catch our breath it seems. With two months and a week left until our wedding we are down to millions of little details and decisions! But what is so wonderful is that we are having a blast! One really good thing about having plenty of time to prepare for your wedding! Things are rolling so well, thanks to the Lord! Truth be told we really truly are ready for our wedding to get here. We have the limo rented, hotel booked, reception decor planned, rentals booked, flowers booked, photographer booked, bridal pictures booked, wedding dress and accessories ready, bridesmaids dresses sewed, wedding bands in our possession, invitations a week or so away from being mailed.......IT IS REALLY HAPPENING!!
Last night Sam and I were working on invitations at his mom's house and it hit me! These are OUR invitations for OUR wedding! This is really happening! When these invites go in the mail these people are going to be showing up at church on March 8th at 2:00 pm for OUR wedding! Wow!

This last week has been good. Sam has been in Oklahoma since Monday and he will be here until Tuesday (New Years Day)! Last weekend I drove down with Guy, Mom Shepherd and Grandpa Shepherd to Andy and his family's house in West Tawakonie, Texas to celebrate Christmas on the Shepherd side. They live right in front of a lake and we had fun just laying around, doing nothing, splitting wood, taking walks to the lake, etc.

Call us crazy, call us nuts, call us whatever you like...
we are simply IN LOVE always and forever! :D

Then back we came to Oklahoma for Christmas at my house with my family! We did have a blast. Sam and I are already getting things from our registry which is totally awesome and very exciting to see happening! Christmas morning we were at my house and then Christmas night we went to Mom Shepherds.

One thing that was unique about this week was I told Sam that I wanted to learn to do something that he enjoyed....so guess what I got to learn to do! :D I got to learn how to shoot and blow up bad guys on a computer game! :D Actually after several times through the training LOL I got the hang of it and could actually play! :) Well......it was really intense and kind of nerve racking game. I don't think I could play it too long! lol

So, Sam is here until New Years Day and he has to go back to Texas again. Kind of a sad way to start the new year. With a good-bye to the person you love the most. Knife to the heart if you dwell on it too long.

Our House!!

God is amazing!! He has His perfect timing! This last week I moved into what is going to be Leslie and I's home!! Pretty exciting! Up until this point I have been staying with Jeremy, my older brother. Well... he got married Dec 1st! So I needed a place to go to! A couple of years ago Jeremy had bought a house and totally gutted it out and re-did the inside and some outside work too. About a year ago he found another house and we moved into it. He decided to rent out the house we moved out of and the renters that were in it just moved out this month! So as Jeremy was on his honeymoon I transitioned to the rent house! Leslie and I decided to take it easy for a while and rent for at least the first year and just focus on each other. Then we'll see where the Lord directs.

Jeremy did a really cool job with the house when he re-did it! Refinished the wood floor, new carpet in the bed rooms, tiled bathroom and kitchen, granite counter tops, tiled back splash, stainless steel appliances, dimming can lights... etc!!! Jeremy really did an awesome job! We have been praying about this becoming available for a long time! Ever since we've been engaged we have hoped this to be our first place! God has answered those prayers in a awesome and incredible way!!! Thank you LORD!!!

The house needs a little bit of painting and replacing some stuff but we'll deal with that once Jeremy gets back from his honeymoon! It has been an adventure so far! I can't get the water turned on until we put together a lease agreement!! So I have had to survive 3 days with no water!! Exciting stuff!

We'll get some better and more complete pictures up! Leslie is gonna love decorating that little house up for us! But until we get married and she comes down... I don't think it is going to change much! :)
Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Winter Fun!

Sam and I had a blast Friday night downtown Bricktown! He took me to eat we rode the free canal rides, walked through the garden covered in lights and even went iceskating on the outdoor rink! A wonderfully fun night full of memories, laughter, adventure and plenty of stories to remember that is for sure! :D

Ya gotta love it!

Grandpa Sam is all tired out! :D

Becasue of the ice we wern't able to get out the driveway Sunday or Monday so Sam was in OK until Monday evening! He worked from our house....on dial-up just to mention! He is one patient man.

Of course we made our traditional gingerbread houses we make each year. Sam and I made one together. Everyone always creates their own!

Sam's Ring!

Last evening I met our "ring lady" and picked up Sam's ring we had ordered! I had no idea it would be so stunning! He picked out a good one that is for sure! It is six millimeter, hammered, white gold, with a milagrain on both sides of the hammered top! I LOVE it! He is dying to get to wear it! :D I don't blame him! Only 92 days and he will be able to!!!

Jeremy & Callie's Wedding Weekend!

Last Saturday Jeremy, Sam's brother, and Callie Fowler said, "I Do."

Sam was the most handsome groomsman than I have even seen! I cannot wait until he is a groom! :D
Joy took this picture of us unawares! :D

Sam I love you so much! Only 94 days until our wedding! We have been waiting a long long time! 3 more months....we are capable of that!! :D

We have to practice for our first kiss somehow! :D
One thing for sure! Our wedding day is gonna be a day to remember!
