......before the BIG DAY!!!!

I have started to move!!!
Since I have never moved in my entire life moving all the way to Ft. Worth, Texas is quite different for me! Though exciting it also has many many mixed emotions involved as well! My room looks so different at the moment and it doesn't even feel like mine when I walk in the door anymore!

Off I went last Friday morning with my car loaded up with stuff for my last weekend in Texas before the wedding!

On Sunday Sam and I went to one of the parks towards downtown Ft. Worth. I really do love Ft. Worth Texas! It is clean and nice and yea there is a lot of....city...but there ARE places to go where you feel out and away almost like the country!!

Well, folks only 37 days left to go in this slow onward race of engagement life.....and yes we are very weary of it but we ARE going to finish well!!!! We are determined there! ONLY God can give anyone the capability, the relationship skills, the patience and the ability to handle all the baggage that comes with waiting over 380 days especially long distance! But alas...He has certainly given it to Sam and I! We have been through more than we though possible to go through being engaged! More problems and complications than imaginable and yea we do wish that we could have just gotten married back in the Fall and not had to worry about all that is going on now BUT.....we have learned so much and come so VERY far in our relationship becasue of it! Much farther than most engaged couples have come and we see how that is going to bless our first months of marriage! The time when most couples go through the worst I think! The first 90 days....the most important days of your marriage! God will and IS working everything out to his perfect will and He does know what is best! :D
We would appreciate prayers that is for sure! I do not want my joy to be taken away from circumstances that happen and arise! I want to enjoy this time, have fun, not stress out and panic. Let things fall into place! I have my ups and downs in this whole "bride stress" EVERYONE seems to talk about and "curse" on me so to speak! *laugh* :D But, having so long to plan a wedding has helped tremendously! I want to look back on my wedding and remember it fondly not remember all the bad that surrounded it! :)
So, the time is going quickly and with each day that passes my heart pounds a little harder and my love for Sam grows a little stronger! That unconditional love. That love that only God can put in your heart for another person!

Only 44 days to go!

...To Go!!!!
After having started counting down from over 380 now that we are finally down to only 50 days until our wedding we look back and say time went fast! :) Looking back is always an eye opener I guess!
We are so ready to be married! We have waited a very long time and I know that the Lord is rewarding and is going to reward us greatly for doing so!
I love you Samuel! Wish we could be together today!

This last weekend Jon and I went down to Ft. Worth Texas to work on Sam and I's house! We ended up painting for two full days and getting the whole house finished! We had a lot of fun together and after I got back to Oklahoma two days ago it hit me finally that that was really our house!

Nathan came over from Dallas for a couple hours to see the place and say hi. He ended up helping me in the front yard!

We completely cleaned the place up and it really looks like a new place!

We had to do something with all those limbs Jon cut down! Sword fighting sounded like a good plan!

So soon we will be in it together! Married, starting a new life together and man oh man, is it hard to believe! :)

Last Tuesday (New Years Night) Sam headed back to Texas with our first load to move to our rent house! :) He took a desk from his Mom's house and a recliner from our house! It was exciting to see it happening! Unbelieving I think would be more like it! :)

Sam and I having our own house, starting our lives together, finally getting married!!!? Is it possible! :D

Well we have now arrived to a new year. The year of 2008! The year of the marriage of Samuel and Leslie! The beginning of a new stage in our lives! 2008 I would have never guessed at this time last year that this year I would be getting married! Not to mention to the most wonderful man in the whole wide world! :)

I hope you all had fun celebrating in the new year! It is 2:15 am on January 1st and Sam, Jon, Mom Shepherd and I are still up! :) Another movie is going in sometime! Are goal.....to make it all night. Will it happen? Highly unlikely! :) But yet, you never know! :)

Well, Sam is going back to Texas tomorrow but at least we see each other in just a couple days again! I am going down to help work on our rent house! Painting, cleaning all that jazz! :) Jon is going to join us so I know it shall be a blast! I will be sure and post some more pictures up of our house when I get back!
