Katie, Lindsey, Natalie and Jared have been here with Sam and I in Texas since last Tuesday afternoon! We have been having a blast! Yesterday we went and took pictures and here are a few of my favorites! There are so many good ones in my opinion 'tis hard to choose! :D I'll have to put up pics of our whole 4 days together sometime soon!! Anyways, I am quite proud of myself for taking these! MAYBE just maybe I am getting somewhere one picture at a time?! :D

So Sam told me a week or so before this last weekend that we were having some people come down to go to Six Flags with us on Sat. and stay the night so they could spend more time with us. They wanted it to be a surprise so he wouldn't tell me a blooming thing!!! He did say I would be excited about who they were and eventually that it was a couple! So, as you can imagine I had several in mind as to who they might be! :D

So, last Sat. morning right before we were supposed to go meet them Sam let it slip that it was Brandon and Michelle and I went crazy with excitement! :) They were one of the top couples I was thinking of and hoping it might be!!! Needless to say we had a blast of course! Six Flags is rather busy on Sat. but we had plenty of time to talk! :) That night we went to eat, watched a movie, stayed up talking until I'm not sure when, etc. I didn't want them to leave the next morning! :( My "adopted" sis Michelle is so awesome! I love ya girl! :) We made sure they were going to come back down sometime again before they drove away though! :)

I am so ready for tomorrow! My four younger sisters and brother are coming down and staying with us until Memorial Day weekend! :) We are gonna have a blast! :D

So, today I am getting ready for them and pondering life....contemplating.....randomness.

I am thinking that a blog is really kinda stupid at the moment and not sure why we have one. What is the point in it anyways? I guess it kinda is like an online journal but then again not really because you don't truly honestly write here like you would in a journal! :) At least I don't! If I did I might not be very well liked SOMETIMES and thought of as very...opinionated...too free...and...annoying maybe! :D I might make some of the people I know enemies really fast! :) Not intentionally mind me! I just have this naturally fleshly inclination sometimes to get up on my "preacher" box and set things straight and maybe knock some sense into peoples heads with the God's Word for heavens sake! Sometimes I WISH that WAS the right thing to do though it never seems to be :) and I know that some of you guys completely know what I mean when I say it is so hard sometimes to simply trust God to take care of some people and their.....rule books.....and their blindness....or whatever! :D LOL Okay I better cool it, I know! :) So, moving on before I get all ruffled! *big grin* Making sure I see the mote in my eyes before I pick on my brother and sisters right? :D

Sam and I had a really fun weekend this last weekend! Later I will have to tell about THE BIG SURPRISE I got and put up pics! :D

Okay so a real update here about the real me I guess... :)

Rain......

I love it.....BUT....

I do have to admit that there are times when it rains for days in a row and I am going through some "difficulty" in life, that I actually can get depressed by it! I think my biggest problem is I want to go outside and work in the yard and "play" with my new yard projects :) and the rain is preventing that and keeping me rather cooped up inside! Something I do not like for a continuous long amount of time, for those of you who know me real well! I want some beautiful sunshine and singing springtime birds! :D I want a taste of the country I grew up on, in this noisy neighborhood of mine! *laughing*

Okay, so the reason I am writing.....
The biggest thing I miss that is the HARDEST to "get over" about Oklahoma I think is the Spiritual encouragement and accountability. I'm dying for a good study of God's Word again. I'm getting to a dryish stage again in life and I hate that! Just when it feels like I was starting to REALLY thrive in the Lord!

I think I am just weakening and I know that in my weakness is God's strength if I would just hang on to it! But to I? Half....three fourths....the time I do not, no. For some reason lately it has been really hard for me to spend quality time with the Lord. I miss those times when I would read His Word and get a refreshing drink. When I was seeking Him wanting to know more about Him, more of Him, be closer to Him! Now it just seems like I can't find anything at all to read there that keeps me awake. I hate it!

I miss the weekly gathering together with other girls and ladies and learning together, encouraging, standing strong together, helping each other, praying for each other..... I miss being in a work environment that every day makes you live up to a godly standard....of course being a wife certainly makes you do that as well it is just different when you have dirty dishes, unpacked boxes, fixing dinner, creative memories, and.......knats (we have a major knat problem which I'll talk about later) as your co-workers that are supposed to be helping you follow after God! Man, I tell you what! They are sooooooo godly and wonderfully "things" to work with and for! :D *laugh*

No, but seriously I am starving for a good Bible study! Something that is gonna have be digging in God's Word! Something that is gonna get me somewhere!

I miss Debbie Wells.......... I have been thinking about her a lot for some reason lately. What a wonderfully godly person she was. An AMAZING wife..... an encourager! I wanna be like that! What a godly goal to strive for it life, right!

So, on I press in this struggling battle with Satan, the striking rattle snake. But, I have him by the neck squeezing with what little weakness I have and God doing the rest of the squeezing with me and I am not letting go no matter how many times he strikes at me until he is strangled to death! His venom is not going to poison me, he is not sinking his nasty dripping fangs into my fleshliness.....I WILL NOT LET HIM! Pray for me....for us ya'll! So many big decisions to make, the biggest being finding a church. Not to mention Sam and I are a newly wed couple striving to follow God and make our marriage the best it could possibly be and we have BIG targets on our back for the devil to shoot darts at just because of that! We need God's strength every sec. of every day!

Okay, now so yea about the knats... :) I don't have a CLUE what it is but we have really bad knats in our house! Earlier this week it was swarms of them but I have gotten it down to where there is just enough to annoy you to death now! :D I hate dirty mess, what organizer doesn't, and thus there is no reason they should be living here! There is no dirty mess that I was or am aware of! Yer, I have taking out every trash bag and cleaned the trash cans, wiped everything down making sure there was no sticky or food they would be attracted too, hiding all fruit in the fridge, mopped.....literally everything I can think of to get rid of them! I even put a plastic bag out with a banana peel in it for a whole day and got quite a few trapped that way...but still they seem to stay and multiply even! So, if anyone has any ideas..... I would LOVE, I repeat LOVE to hear them! :D I need help! I guess maybe I should Google how to get rid of knats! LOL They supposedly have the answer to everything.....? *grin*

Anyways, boring as this may have been you are know probably wondering why you took the time to actually read all that. *laughing*
